I have created this page to answer some of the most common questions I receive.

How far in advance should I book my session?

Depending on the type of session you should book at least a month or 2 in advance, except for Newborn sessions those should be booked 4 months in advance as I only do a limited amount of newborn sessions a month.

How long will my session last?  

Typically a maternity, child, cake smash or family session last only 1 to 2 hours. A newborn session will usually take 4 to 5 hours.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, they are custom made and can be for a total session fee or an amount to put towards an order. Once the amount of the gift card has been paid I will need a week to have it printed and mailed out.

Do you offer gift registry cards I can send out with my baby shower invites?

Yes. If you are having a baby and book a newborn session I can mail you out gift registry cards for you to include in your invitations so your friends and family know you would like some gift cards towards your order after your session.

Where will it be?

In studio sessions are held at my in studio in Sutton West Ontario. Outdoor sessions can be held anywhere in Georgina, Newmarket  and Aurora. Any where outside this area a travel fee will apply.

Will we have the option to use props?

Yes. You can request the use of certain ones. 98% of the props on my website are available for use, but it is a good idea to let me know which ones you would like to use prior to the session as some of the props are not store at the studio. You can also bring some of your own if you have something that is important to your family (i.e sports team jerseys)

Can I request specific photos to be taken (i.e grandchildren/grandparents, solo of kids, etc)?

Yes. All this can be discussed prior to your session. It is helpful to me to know what type of shots and props you would like to use before hand so I can have it all prepared.

Can our pets be a part of our photos?

For outdoor shoots only.

What should we do to prepare for the session and what do we need to bring?

Each of my gallery pages has a “How to prepare for your session” write up underneath the gallery of images to let you know what to bring  and such for each type of session.

What comes with the packages?

All of my packages are actually collections. There are 3 collections per type of photo session, a small, medium and large collection. For other items not offered in the collection there are pre set packages or products are available to order a la cart. For all collection pricing please email me. All packages include editing of the images. Retouching services are included in all Newborn packages but are not included in any other  type of session.

How do we go about securing our session?

Once we have talked and picked a date for your session the retainer fee of $75.00 is due with in 48 hours of a confirmed date in order to hold your date for you. If the retainer fee is not paid in 48 hours your date will be forfeited.

When is the best time of year to schedule my session?

Depends on what type of session you are looking for. From September to December I get booked up very fast so if your looking for fall pics its best to book a date in June.

What time of day is best for a portrait session?

For in studio sessions it really depends again on what type of session. Newborn sessions start earlier in the day as they are long. Maternity sessions are typically on a Saturday so both mom and dad are off work. Child/baby sessions are booked for the time of day that works best for your child, a time of day they are not hungry and tired.

I prefer black & white images will you edit them in color and black & white?

Once your session is over and you have been sent a link to your gallery of images to order from there is an option to select color or black and white.

How many photos do you typically take during the session?

On average I take about 200 to 300 pictures per session. Only the best 25 to 30 will be selected and placed in your ordering gallery.

How long does it take to get the photos back?

Once you have placed your order and paid for it I will begin to process you order. Please note until full and final payment has been made I do not start to process your order. It take usually about 3 weeks from the time I receive payment for your order.

How much do portrait sessions end up costing?

Depending on what you order it will cost the amount of the session fee plus your order. On average most people order between $300 to $500 but there is no order too small.

What days are you available to shoot portrait sessions?

This year as I have a new little one myself I will only be booking sessions on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
